Project overview
Pantree is a web app focused on helping reduce food waste. Our goal is to establish a strong link between community fridges and local food businesses – pantree does this by allowing potential donations to be listed for collection. Community fridge operators can claim any food donations which would otherwise go to waste. Our platform also allows local businesses to donate any surplus food to community fridges. With pantree, we aim to raise awareness of community fridges, bring communities together, and minimise food waste.

My role in the project
Throughout the duration of the project, my work revolved around user experience design and front-end development. I was responsible for creating the user flows for features based on data aggregated from user surveys. Furthermore, I was also responsible for developing the majority of the front-end for the application based on the final high-fidelity mock-ups. The front end was developed using PUG (HTML preprocessor) SASS and the Bulma CSS framework. Aditionally, I also worked on some back-end features using Node.js and Express.
